The Rimpparemmi musicians – the Rimpparemmi Band

The Rimpparemmi dancers are accompanied by their own orchestra, the wide-ranging instruments of which are chosen in accordance with choreographic and artistic requirements of the performance. In addition to the Finnish repertory, we also perform for instance Hungarian programmes using original instruments.

Its adaptability is one of the most renowned characteristics of our orchestra. The various trends in folk music, dance music, children’s concerts and a variety of themed evenings are handled by the Rimpparemmi musicians to a high standard and boasting experience.

Rimpparemmi has published three recordings: "Sinisiiro kultakiiro" in 1989, "Lohipoika" in 1995 and "Karhuntanssi" in 2001.
